Initial reports of an explosion at the facility on the 15000 block of Health Center Drive came in at 3:42 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, according to the Prince George's Fire Department.
All 112 residents of the facility were transferred to neighboring facilities with the assistance of several area partners. No injuries have been reported.
Family of residents are welcome to gather at the Bowie Senior Center. The city of Bowie has set up a line for families to check on the status of their loved ones at 301-262-6200.
